Pricing Update – NO CHANGES

Everybody know that prices are rising everywhere…except here. From the beginning, our site and the adapters that we offer were intended to be a service to the enthusiast community. We use the “revenue” from selling adapters to keep the site hosted and running. The “profit” isn’t really a big deal, because cars and car audio are a hobby for us. As we got more efficient at making the adapters, material and shipping costs went up and ate any additional “profit” that would result from us being more efficient. On top of that, we have to replace our equipment pretty often, as the materials are really hard on blades and bits. And we also have to eat shipping material costs. But all that said, we are holding prices steady for as long as possible. We keep making adapters because people keep asking for them. And we keep costs the same because we feel that that is the fair price that we- as enthusiasts- would want to pay. Since we started this, material costs are up about 35% (and still rising), shipping costs are up over 50%, and shipping materials are up about 40%. AND our hosting costs have gone up as well. All of this is part of the market, but as long as there is still a desire for the adapters and the information on the site, we will keep the site running.

Thank you again for supporting our car audio community, and please reach out to us if there is an adapter set that you want to see added to our options.

Wrapping up beta Testing for Subaru Ascent Speaker Adapters!

We are wrapping up beta testing on speaker adapters for the new Subaru Ascent models. Based on the 2015+ Legacy & Outback models and the 2014+ Forester models, our adapters will allow Ascent owners to swap out the stock 6×9 front door speakers (which are a non-standard 6×9, at that) for almost any 6.5″ or 6.75″ round speaker. The dash brackets will also hold nearly any component tweeters (sorry, 3.5″ aftermarket speakers won’t fit with out brackets). If you are interested in adapters for your Ascent, please drop us a line: patrickhenry at gmail dot com or use the Contact Page

Photobucket fix for Firefox and Chrome!

Hey everyone! In case you haven’t heard, there are fixes out now to enable viewing of the locked out Photobucket pictures!

If you’re using Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over “More Tools,” and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says “Get more extensions.” In the search box, type “Photobucket Fix,” and hit enter. Click the install button and once it’s done, you should be able to see Photobucket pictures again.

For Firefox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add-ons. Click search for “Photobucket hotlink” and click install. Same result.

Now offering Nissan Skyline R32 speaker adapters!

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering speaker adapters for the R32 Nissan Skyline! The original Godzilla has finally found its way to America, and we are here to help ensure your stereo upgrades go as smoothly as possible. For this application, we use our normal 1/2″ material, which allows the use of 6.5″ speakers in the front doors. Big thanks to Yuriy for snapping a picture of the finished product!

We have moved through a few revisions and are shipping these to Skyline owners all across the US, and even to international Skyline owners.  Contact us ( Email is my best form of contact: patrickhenry at gmail dot com or use the Contact Page ) for more information.

Additionally, if you have an R33 or R34 Skyline and want to discuss beta testing, we are happy to get rolling on those platforms as well.

Welcome to CarStereoAdapters.com – your source for custom car speaker adapters!

Until I get all of the embedded links rebuilt, please use the navigation at the top of the page. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!

Welcome to the new home of the site formerly known as subaruaudio.net.  As of July 2016 I am still making the adapters that you see on this site. I know that the content on the site seems to be stagnant but there is not too much to add on a regular basis.

Note: For reasons beyond my control (a trademark infringement claim by Subaru of America) I have navigated content to this new site.  If you find an older link to subaruaudio.net on a forum or other site, please let me know with an email (patrickhenry AT gmail.com), particularly if the author is “phenryiv1” (me).

As always, if you are interested in the speaker spacers, first check out the spacer information page, then feel free to send me a message through the contact form

Please bear with me as I rebuild the site, as much of the content was lost when I had to make the transfer.
